The Land Rover Discovery comes in four different trims for 2025 and with a choice of two different powertrains. A 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder is the base engine, providing 296 horsepower. The optional engine is a 3.0L turbocharged 6-cylinder making 355 horsepower and 396 foot-pounds of torque. On all Discoveries, power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2025 GV80 is only available in AWD and comes powered by two engine choices that include the standard turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder or a twin-turbo 3.5L V6. The 2.5L inline four-cylinder is rated at 300 horsepower and 311 lb-feet of torque. The 3.5L V6 engine makes 375 horsepower and 391 lb-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Outback lineup features a pair of flat-four-cylinder engines: a 182-hp 2.5-liter is standard and a 260-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter is optional. Both mate to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that mimics an eight-speed gearbox to mitigate annoying engine drone.
